Dromana's Trofeo Estate combines organic viticulture practices and age-old winemaking techniques to produce elegant and highly expressive cool climate wines. Using terracotta amphorae (think Italian-made clay barrels) for fermentation, head winemaker Richard Darby creates a number of delicious wines like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz.
On Sunday 13 June, Trofeo is opening their doors for ‘Wine Up’; a music, food, and wine event that will showcase some of these renowned pours. Guests are invited to soak up the picturesque 50-acres of vines with a glass of their favourite wine in hand. Jetty Road and St Andrews brews will also be there for the beer drinkers. Numerous food trucks will also be on offer to celebrate fine local produce that will “warm the soul” – from wood fire pizza to vegan eats.
The event will feature live music and DJs, such as Coco Michelle, that will provide blissful beats for an afternoon of entertainment. To keep you warm, marquees, outdoor heaters, and fire pits are also provided.
Tickets are $49, and includes entry to the event, as well as a Trofeo wine glass to take home.
