Tucked behind the recently re-opened Continental Hotel, Aurora Spa and Bathhouse is a slice of serenity in the back streets of Sorrento. This luxe new day spa boasts eight treatment rooms, an all-weather bathhouse with hydrotherapy mineral pools, magnesium float tanks, a halotherapy chamber, glacial mist room, aromatherapy steam room and the largest sauna in the southern hemisphere.

Though the spa spans 1000 square metres, the space is capped at just 60 guests, keeping the vibe intimate and deeply relaxing. For those looking to explore the facilities at their own pace, the ten-step bathhouse ritual is an immersive, self-led bathing experience that begins with a luxurious salt scrub and a soak in the sky-lit Daydream Pool. There are also body treatments, massage, and skin health facials on the menu, with each offering intended to bring the mind and body back to a state of calm.

The dreamy design is by award-winning architecture studio Woods Baggot, who have paid homage to the spa’s coastal home with hand-sculpted copper Centalla adorning the walls. Whilst the exterior is light and breezy Hamptons, the interior is sensual and refined, with natural tones and textures used throughout. Oak panelling and flecked terrazzo tiles are paired with moody brass and monochrome styling, as you float from one tranquil space into the next.
